OBJECTIVE

l   To help and support athletes to acquire a multitude of core skills, experience and knowledge in order to strengthen their capability to adjust in the field of work

-       Sports Industry Education, Language Training, Core Skills, Work Experience

l   To introduce different career options in the field of sport, supporting athletes to market themselves and make a new start outside the competition field of play

-       PyeongChang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games and other relevant sport organisations (domestic/international)

 

* MOU for internship between iSR and Pyeongchang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games

Requirements

-       Paralympians

-       World Championship Participants

-       Continental Games/ Championship Participants

-       Commonwealth Games Participants

-       Retiring & retired athletes registered KOC (for Koreans)

(Olympians, Continental Games/Championship medallists preferred)

Applicable to all

-       Sufficient command of both spoken and written English

-       Potential and passion to work in sport

-       Global mindset

-       Undergraduate or above (though some flexibility)

-       ANOC, IOC, IF and NOC recommendation (beneficial)

 

 

 

 

VI. APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

 

l   Application Form

l   Copy of the applicant’s passport

l   Statement of Purpose of joining iSR Academy

l   Curriculum Vitae

l   Evidence of participation standard/achievement in sport (e.g. web page or Olympic results page)

l   Two professional references (referees preferred are candidates’ current/most recent employers/ school/ University/ training provider)

l   A recommendation letter from ANOC, IOC, IF, NOC and/or NF (beneficial, though not required)

l   A certificate of graduate status of high school and/or above (in English)

l   Graduation certificate (if a graduate) and/or evidence of employment (in English)

l   Recognised English Proficiency Test (TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC) or any other supporting document which demonstrates appropriate English ability (e.g. English teacher’s letter or institution certificate)

l   Medical record (for those admitted)
